Ultima Online Calibration Tutorial

Okay, I figure I should get off my ass and write a good tutorial.  So here it is:

First, run both UO and UO Map, and log on to one of your characters in UO (preferably one of your more mobile characters).

Then attach UO Map to UO with the attach command on the File menu, like you would normally.

Now, open up the location list window by selecting 'Locations Window...' from the View menu.

Find a location in the list that you can get to easily.  (There are several in a special section called 'Calibration Locations' that have detailed explanations of where exactly you need to have your character stand. You can see these details by right clicking the location and selecting Properties to open the Location Properties box.

Once you are standing at the appropriate spot, you can calibrate by opening the Location Properties box for that location (the same way you look at the details), and selecting the 'Calibration' tab, and hitting the big 'Calibrate' button.

Once you have UO Map correctly calibrated, it is wise to find a convenient spot (like a specific corner of your hometown bank or your house), and drop a location marker there so you can re-calibrate off of that instead.
